Pablo Fierro delivers a dynamic reinterpretation of the version of Latrouch of the traditional Tunisian song 'Sidi Mansour,' which he sublimated by the exceptional use of the typically Tunisian instrument Zokra. In 'Yababa' (Tunisian Mix), the Canarian DJ/producer casts a bustling musical sojourn rife with vigorous Near East instrumentals, visceral Afro rhythms and a crisp house groove . Preserving Latrouch's reverent poetry at the marrow, Fierro's rendition uplifts the original's timber while nimbly integrating his unique touch and forward thinking dancefloor perspective. Connecting past and present, pulse and drums, human and divine, Fierro renders yet another timeless masterpiece to the fore.
